We bought Katie a new laundry hamper when Ethan was born. Katie's clothes in one, Ethan's in the other. I've recently combined their clothes when doing laundry and now one hamper is "lights" and the other is "darks." I've been teaching Katie how to separate her laundry into darks and lights so she can put them into the correct hamper. The other day Katie was coloring a beautiful picture and she said "Look Mommy, lights & darks!" She had separated her crayons into lights and darks. It was pretty cute.
Ethan likes helping with the laundry too! He may not be able to separate lights & darks but he sure doesn't miss an opportunity to be in a laundry basket!
