CHRISTMAS

We kept having to move the ornaments higher onto the tree because Ethan had too much fun playing with them. By Christmas morning, the ornaments were about half way up the tree.

First thing Katie checked after she ran down the stairs, Santa's cookies & milk. She wanted to make sure Santa had his treats. After opening presents, Ethan found his way over to the cookies and decided to eat one.

A couple of Katie's gifts. Above: play duh below: princess dress, crowns, shoes & drums.

One of Ethan's new toys: tools. Now he can go to work just like Daddy except with tools that won't hurt him :)

I think the Grandparents were inspired this year for what they bought the kids. Christmas Eve, Katie was playing with her drum and broke it. Mike didn't appreciate my idea of taping it back together and had Katie throw it away. Katie and I were sad. Next morning Katie opened her gift from the Padilla's and sure enough...it was a music set including a new drum! They also got Ethan a big educational/fun toy car which is something I'd been wanting to get him. Katie & Ethan are growing out of their current clothes which happens so fast when they are young. The Bigelow's gave Katie Princess attire (something Katie asked just about everyday for leading up to Christmas), they also got her church dresses and Ethan some much needed clothes. Thank you so much to the Grandparents!! Like Thanksgiving, I made dinner. I was so happy it turned out so well. For Thanksgiving, I made my first Turkey! For Christmas I made my first "real" ham. I usually buy the presliced ham or ham steaks. It was nice to have a more expensive ham for Christmas. Tasted Delicious.
NEW YEARS

We let Katie stay up with us until midnight. It was interesting and fun. Katie never stays up this late so it was funny to watch her. She started bouncy and wide awake so excited to stay up late...

Around 10:30pm she was just about out...

Very quiet and couldn't keep her eyes open very well...

By 11:30pm wow the energy came back!

12 am once again, so happy to be awake and share in the New Year together as a family!
