Valentine's Day was great. Mike and the kids got up early and made Mommy breakfast in bed. The kids also made some pretty pictures for me.

Mike after surgery. Poor guy. He had lipoma in his forearm. Surgery was worse than Mike originally thought it would be. It was painful and he was out on medication for a few days. We were planning to have it removed by a family physician and were so happy we went with a surgeon! It was a lot more intense of a procedure than anticipated.

Alicia's 25th Birthday
I think I've just about made my birthday cake every year since I've been married. I refused this year. To a 4yr old a birthday isn't a birthday with out a cake. She kept asking when I was going to make my cake and I kept telling her to ask Daddy. So when Katie was with Aunt Rachel, they got a birthday cake.

Katie had been waiting so patiently for almost a week to give me her purple present. Just about everyday she'd ask if it was my birthday. Finally the day arrived.

It was quite a birthday! Mike's sister Rachel came to visit with her two friends Kim & Larry. Rachel babysat on Friday so Mike & I could go out for my birthday. Then on Saturday they took the kids all day so Mike & I could spend the day together. It was fantastic!!
Thank you Rachel & friends!

Visitors

Aunt Rachel, Ethan & Katie

The day Aunt Rachel & her friends left Grandma Bigelow, Uncle Steven and Aunt Brooke came. Katie and Ethan had so much fun playing with Uncle Steven's skateboard, riding the train in a mall and we all enjoyed ice skating.

"No Hands :) "

Everything in between!

Ethan likes to look out the window and watch his sister play

A day at the park

One of our many walks

Great view. You can see BYU and the Provo Temple from this point of our walk.

Katie likes her "cow trees"

We go for a long walk and this is sometimes how they end the walk

Katie was on time out and Ethan thought he'd be a nice brother and join her

Ethan is always telling us when he needs his diaper changed. He even gets everything ready.

Ethan sneaking some chips

Katie is traveling to "New DC" She combines New York City with Washington DC

Mirrors are a lot of fun for little ones

We were all very impressed with Ethan's stacking skills

Katie and Mommy made a snowman. Katie did the bottom herself. She is a hard worker!

Katie enjoys sledding in the front yard

This was Katie's first time alone at the top hill. Usually she's with Daddy. She was very nervous. The picture with Katie looking into the tree...some snow fell off the tree onto her head and she said "hey, who did that!" it was funny.

Ethan's first official day in Nursery. Mike and I teach CTR 4 together in Primary so we tried to get Ethan use to nursery a few weeks before 18mo. We're still working on that.

Ethan shocked he got caught sneaking cookies, then happy I didn't take them away

Ethan put on Daddy's hat all by himself

Ethan is a climber. He figured out that if he put the step stool to the chair and the chair to the high chair, he could climb right on up and sit down.
