The Move

With our 6' trailer attatched to the blazer, blazer full of kids & stuff and our cavalier stuffed full to the brim, we were off! Our Move was very interesting! Thinking about one day leaving Utah, we had many places we wanted to see for the first time or visit like we had many times before. We didn't get to visit or revisit anything with only four days to pack everything and hit the road. We didn't get to say good bye to family or friends. Our drive t ook four days to reach the east coast. We had a late start and only made it to Colorado the first day with the check engine light in toe. We learned very quickly how long the trip was going to take when we could not drive above 55 mph. The Colorado rockies were even worse at about 10 mph. The next day a very nice man did an oil change and checked the engine light for free :) Nothing was wrong but altitude adjusting. We drove all day and decided to switch our schedule. Instead of driving into late night and leaving late morning, we paid a full nights fee at a hotel and slept only 2 hrs to get back onto the road as quickly as we could. Driving early morning was definitely better all around. Only problem, when you need to get a new tire, no stores are open. At one of the gas stops around 4am Mike noticed one of the tires on the cavalier had threading showing pretty bad. He warned me, if the tire blows.....do this, not that. Not something I wanted to hear. We drove two hours onward til we could get to a tire store. At every bridge we came across I reminded myself what to do if the tire blew. We stayed one night in Colorado, the next night in Ka nsas and the last night in Effingham, Illinois.
